Marc Almond at The Colston Hall in Bristol on Friday 20 October 2017

Marc Almond will perform at The Colston Hall in Bristol on Friday 20 October 2017.

Performing hits from his thirty-six year career, and with a full orchestra behind him, Marc Almond returns to remind us why he is ‘one of pop’s greatest voices’ (Q Magazine). Described as ‘a musician who has never stood still’ (The Observer), Almond found fame as one half of Soft Cell before going on to sell over thirty million records as a solo artist. In this special anniversary concert, Almond will perform beautiful orchestral arrangements of his iconic synth-pop hits, plus tracks from the new album Shadows and Reflections.

Marc Almond is an award winning, internationally successful and critically acclaimed singer/musician. He has sold over 35 million records worldwide, over a thirty year plus career. He was half of the internationally successful pop duo Soft Cell in the 1980s, with which he had many hit records including the record breaking single ‘Tainted Love’.

Marc has gone on to make many diverse and eclectic solo records and collaborations, with music that has ranged from electronic pop, rock and experimental to Russian Folk. Over recent years he has made a return to theatre, with the award winning Ten Plagues in Edinburgh and London, and Poppea at the Paris Chatalet Opera House.
