Kirk Fletcher / Mud Morganfield at Colston Hall in Bristol on 18 March 2017

Kirk Fletcher and Mud Morganfield will be at Colston Hall in Bristol on Saturday 18 March 2017

Mud Morganfield, first-born son of Muddy Waters – the undisputed King of Blues – was naturally drawn to music from an early age but it wasn’t until three years after his father’s death that he decided to pursue it as a career.

In July 2016 he won the Jus’ Blues Muddy Waters Lifetime Achievement Award. Mud is a tribute to his father’s memory and a fantastic songwriter in his own right. He’ll spend much of 2017 in the studio working on a new album, but not before doing us the honour of gracing our stage with his talent.

Kirk Fletcher is one of the best blues guitarists in the world. His soulful approach to blues and roots music is modern yet authentic and has won him respect and admiration from peers, fans and critics all around the world. Son of a pastor, Kirk grew up in the church. It was there, alongside his brother Walter, who he continues to cite as his greatest inspiration, that he first picked up a guitar.
