Jon Richardson at Colston Hall in Bristol on 29-30 September 2017

Jon Richardson will perform at Colston Hall in Bristol on from Friday 29 September to Saturday 30 September 2017

Notoriously obsessive and pernickety Lancastrian comic Jon Richardson’s profile began to rise after he won his heat of the BBC New Comedy Talent Search in 2003. A touring support slot with Alan Carr came in 2006, and in 2007 he won a Chortle Award for Best Breakthrough Act. Richardson is probably  now best known as team captain on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Jon is also a best selling author: his debut book  ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ was released in 2011 to critical acclaim. He also appeared in his very own Channel 4 Documentary Jon Richardson: a Little Bit OCD,  which subsequently won a Mind Media award. Jon has made numerous appearances on radio shows, including And The Winner Is (BBC Radio 2), Act Your Age (BBC Radio 4), The Museum Of Curiosity (BBC Radio 4) and is also a regular contributor on BBC Radio Five Live’s Fighting Talk.

The “sublimely brilliant” (Time Out) British Comedy Award nominee and star of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Jon Richardson embarks on a nationwide tour to complain about the state of the world and offer no solutions.  Since his last show he has become a husband and father, seen the UK vote to leave the EU and watched the rise of Donald Trump, all of which leaves him asking one question, why does it seem that no one else alive can correctly load a dishwasher? Come and see what “one of our most individual and interesting stand-ups” (The Times) can do with words when he has more than thirty seconds to work with.  Or should that be “with which to work”?

Please note that the re-selling of tickets for this show will result in cancellation of booking.
No support, two sets (with interval).
