A Taste of Honey live in Bristol

Red Rope Theatre return with Shelagh Delaney’s blazing debut, 'A Taste of Honey' at Alma Tavern Theatre in Bristol from 18 to 29 October 2016.

‘Two Way Mirror’ and ‘Look Back In Anger’ were immensely praised by the critics and ‘Dracula’ at Arnos Vale was a sell-out show.

Presenting the story of a 17 year old working class girl, whose name is Jo, and her mother Helen, (set in the 1950s in Salford) it was penned when she was just 18. Boldly dealing with heavy issues of class, gender, race and sexual orientation, the play presents a story which as relevant today as it was over 50 years ago when British theatre was revolutionizing.
