Festival of the Future City Bristol

Festival of the Future City will take place in Bristol at the Watershed from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th October 2017.

 

Now in its second year, the festival is guaranteed to stoke heated debates about the future of cities, collating an impressive amalgam of writers, politicians, scientists, artists, journalists, futurists, economists, film-makers, charities, roboticists and a whole lot more.

All together, around 150 influential speakers will take part in the event, which is part of Bristol Festival of Ideas and will include themes such as Cities and Brexit, Race and Cities, Globalisation and Cities, The Ethical City, The Future of Work in Cities, Sharing Cities, Children and the City and Beauty and Cities.

 

The event includes a series of over 60 sessions, that will take place from morning to evening over the three days. Led by Future Cities Catapult, some of the topics to expect are; New Cities for a New World, Psychology and the City, If Women Built Cities and Making the City Playable.
