Al Stewart at Colston Hall in Bristol on 23 April 2017

Al Stewart will perform with his own style of folk-rock on Sunday 23 April 2017 at Colston Hall in Bristol.

 

In the past 50 years, we haven’t seen such a rare gem, Al Stewart has a different kind of style of folk-rock has made him something in British music industry ever since his first debut in 60’s.

 

He was born in Glasgow in 1945, he was taken by the skiffle music and after hearing Lonnie Donegan he made up his mind to learn guitar. He has inspired himself by listening to John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon (with whom he shared the flat for some time). His first record, Bedsitter Images, came in 1967 and it is after that he started his own style and made a cult following, in 1973 Stewart made his debut which became the most successful album, Year Of The Cat, which reached the Top 10 songs in US, in 1978 came Time Passages.

 

He did not stop, he continued to sing for his fans and continued touring in 1980’s and 1990’s, and till now also, releasing his last album in 2008.
