The Anchor Inn is a friendly, welcoming, traditional pub in Thornbury on the outskirts of Bristol that serves CAMRA award winning cask ales and delicious home cooked food. Their restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening meals and serves a popular roast on Sundays.
Located on Gloucester Road, on the edge of Thornbury, they are within 30 minutes drive from Bristol and Gloucester. There is a large car park for customers travelling by car and bus stops nearby serving those travelling by bus. A large beer garden includes a children's play area and a large boules piste. The Anchor also hosts many groups, including Crib, Dominoes, Fishing and Cricket.
The Anchor has now opened its newly refurbished Snug Bar, situated in the original pub building that dates back to the 1600s. The Snug Bar hosts regular events, such as craft workshops, and features pieces of work by local artists, as well as an area perfectly suited to meetings or a bit of peace and quiet. The bar now offers homemade cake and other treats to accompany the choice of coffee and fine teas already available. This area is also Dog Friendly, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a meal alongside their pooch.

A large log fire that is surrounded by classic stonework and beams adds to the warm welcoming décor. The restaurant is in a separate area to the bar but meals are served in both.
